The Invitation

To all who would know God and do God’s will -

To all who would live and serve to make a Christian world - 

To all who would seek comfort and would find rest -

To old and young, wise and unlearned,

rich and poor, saint and sinner,

this church opens wide its doors

and in the name of Jesus the Christ

bids welcome to our Maker’s house.

This “invitation” has been part of the history of the Roseland United Methodist Church for well over a decade.  The rendition above has been adapted to the new sensitivities of our church and culture from an earlier version, which, during the course of history, proved not as inviting as we would desire and expect from a Church of Jesus Christ.
